Filming at Home While Sheltering in Place.
COVID UPDATE
At Brown Barn Films, the safety of our team and our clients is of utmost importance. While we are excited to get back to work, we aim to do so without threatening anyone’s health. For now, our videos and ad campaigns are temporarily on hold. Our prayers go out to those businesses that were hit much more severely than our own. Our team has been planning new projects that will hopefully come to fruition later this year. We are very appreciative of our clients that are continuing to produce projects with us, even during these uncertain times.
VIDEO IDEAS FOR AT HOME
While we currently aren’t able to schedule video shoots, we wanted to share some of our ideas for filming videos at home. Your Instagram and Facebook stories are a great place to start your videography exploration because the videos only last 24 hours. Here some of our ideas.
Film a day in your life
Share with your audience what a day in your life is like. This could be sheltering in place with kids and cats or escaping during your lunch break for a brisk walk. Letting your audience on social media into your personal life builds a greater connection that can lead to more business.
Product Videos
If your business sells products, why not film them in use! This can be achieved with most products at home. While you may want a professional videographer or film production company like ours to create the videos for the website, there’s no reason why you can’t share your own DIY video clips to social media.
Service Testimonials
Testimonial videos can be another great way to promote many industries. Now that you have the time, why not reach out to some of your top clients to see if they would give you a video testimonial. If your client is willing to post their testimonial to their story on Facebook or Instagram, even better! This helps build significant credibility for your business to their audience.
MOVING FORWARD WITH SOCIAL MEDIA VIDEOS
While these are a few good ways to stay active with your audience in a pinch, you ideally want professional videos and content. Keep in mind that your businesses’ online presence is an extension of you and your company. A professional video shows that you are at the top of your market and can help create a much deeper connection with your clients.
I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy and can use some of these fun video ideas to add some spice to your stories while trapped at home.
